Mayday! Mayday! It’s a new month and while we have lots of fun days this month May the Fourth be with you and Cinco De Mayo (tacos please), amongst a few, we are still talking about those April Showers that lead into May Flowers. The Month of April brought a few brand new things to the Dragon Dimension and expanded upon a few familiar features. Team Realtips wants to be sure that you do not miss out on any of the changes and we will be covering all of them right here. So let’s dive in.
What are Monthly Recaps?
Monthly Recaps are when we look back at the past month and the releases we saw. While you will be able to find this content in other articles as well, you will find the basics here. These basics include:
- The Release
- Details of the Release
- Any early costs collected
Elite Gem Set
New Gems were released in April. This Gem set is very similar to the Abyss Gem Set in that they have the same stats but stats have been increased exponentially. This means that this Gem Set holds value for every playstyle, Defender, Attacker, and Wonder.
We created a comparison of new gems to the older Abyss Gem Set to help you see the huge leap these gems take in stats for your Empire.
Hero II Mastery
Most of us are familiar with Hero Mastery from our previous experiences with Hero I Mastery. There are a few important things we want to keep in mind when we are looking at Mastery:
- Points for Hero II Mastery Skills can be purchased from the Gold Store.
- While Mastery does not have a Hero level per se there is a Hero level requirement on the Skill Nodes. This means that you must meet the prerequisite Hero level before you can spend your skill points. We saw this with Hero I as well. The players this impacts the most are traps who have purposely kept Hero levels low to avoid large power gains. It is now necessary for traps to weigh whether or not the power gain is worth the stat gain when looking at leveling up to skill Hero II Mastery.
With Hero II traditionally being a Hero that is geared towards stats for attackers it is easy to brush this release off as a release that is not as important for Defenders or Wonder Players. However, remember that the stats you see here apply even when that Hero is not active and some of the stats we see in Hero II Mastery will be relevant to other types of players. Stats you will find here include:
- Trap Defense, Attack, and Health
- Siege Defense, Attack, and Health
- Ranged Defense, Attack, and Health
- Infantry Defense, Attack, and Health
- Cavalry Defense, Attack, and Health
- Hero Attack
- Hero Attack vs Raid Boss
- Empire Assault Defense, Health, and Attack
- Enemy Troop Health Debuff
- Enemy Troop Defense Debuff
- Troop Defense, Attack, and Health
Lava Titan Gear
New Defense Gear also arrived in April. This new gear is packed with stats. Some players were astounded by the amount of stats in the gear and came to believe that the game would be unplayable if they did not have it. However, while the stats on this gear are certainly helpful it is important to note that the majority of your stats are still going to come from places such as Research.
We created a table that takes a closer look at the Lava Titan Stats in comparison to one generation older defense gear.
Strategic Tier Seven Troops
We knew it was coming soon after we completed the rotating events for Regular Tier 7 troops and it is here. Strategic T7 was released with their own research tree and their own unlock T7 Event Schedule. This continues the pattern of Expedition events that earn us prizes and unlocks for the actual troops.
A commonly asked question is the schedule for Expedition events so we have created one for here to reference.
Aside from unlocking the troops check out the stats you will get from this research tree:
Runes and Research
While new Runes have decent stats you will find the stats that have some bang in the Research. For players who have been playing for longer Runes are familiar with pre-demi and demi. However, for those who are newer, this will be your first experience with Runes. There are two things we want to note about Runes here:
- Runes can currently be equipped in your Weapon only.
- Runes CANNOT be combined, this means that getting higher level Runes is about the luck of the draw when you open Runes chests.
There are two things we need to cover here:
- The Research
- The Runes
The Research contains the unlocks for the Rune slots on your Weapon and can be found under the crafting tab in your Academy. In addition, to the unlocks it contains killer stats which can be seen here:
Once you have unlocked the Rune slots you can equip Runes to your Weapon. The image below shows the stats you can get if you have level 6 Runes.
New Monster Levels
Three more Monsters now go to level 60 with higher stats to help you as you attack, play at Wonder, or Defend your Empire.
The Timeless Dragon, Turkey Drake, and Troll all now go to level 60.
New Boosts for our Attackers arrived in the Boost Hall with some General Stats tossed in as well.
To unlock new boosts, you will need, Peak Boost Creation Components.
Last but not least we saw VIP levels increase to 190 in the month of April. While new VIP levels do not come with any special unlocks or benefits there are some nice stat increases that we can see in this VIP Increase.
Below you can see the increase in stats from 180 to 190.
That is it for the newest research in the Dragon Dimension. However, we have a ton of other articles to help you with your strategy!
