Sentinel Tower
Combat with the Alliance City draws one step closer as Machine Zone releases the Sentinel Tower for Game of War Fire Age!
Sentinel Tower Details
The Sentinel Tower will function similarly to your Stronghold’s Watchtower. On a basic level, it will warn your alliance of danger.
Machine Zone is typically predictable when it comes to releasing new content so I don’t think the Alliance City Sentinel will function much differently than Watchtowers.
Level 1 – Warns of an Incoming March on Alliance City
It will be interesting to see if all Members of the Alliance receive the notification similar to the current rally notification or if only Rank 4 and above receive the notification of the actual incoming March.
Additionally, will the incoming march originate from another Alliance City or will an alliance mate simply set a rally on the Alliance City like setting one for a Stronghold or Wonder?
The basic functions of the game will remain the same in all likelihood. The Alliance City will probably function as a large Stronghold.
Level 2 – Tells you the name of the player leading the March and provides coordinates to the player. Tells you the arrival time of the march.
This addresses our question of whether Alliance City combat will be done by Alliance City vs. Alliance City or by a rally leader. This description leads us to believe a “player” will be setting a rally on an Alliance City rather than an “Alliance”. So, likely new march research will be released to unlock Alliance City rallying.
Knowing the arrival time of the march will hopefully give your alliance time to reinforce or prepare your Alliance City for combat. If we look at the City we see a couple portrait locations at the top left where our Hero typically can be found. This would indicate that perhaps our Alliance City will have its own Hero that will require research similar to our own strongholds. This is very exciting.
Level 3 – Tells you the Alliance of the player sending the March and gives an estimate of the total troops in the March.
This is interesting because apparently it takes a Level 3 Tower before we can identify which alliance is attacking. Further, it again states “player” sending the March.
Level 4 – Tells you the types of troops and the exact number of each troop type in the March.
The types of troops and exact number of each troop type is something we have seen in our stronghold watchtower. However, will the troops be donated by Alliance members or be trained up by a Barracks inside the Alliance City to be used specifically for Attacking other Alliance Cities?
When we look go to the Alliance City and try to build the Sentinel Tower it shows us there are about 7 other buildings yet to be unlocked. These buildings may include, Barracks, Hospital, Embassy, Prison, Hall of War, and Altar. Eighteen plots remain inside the Walls of the Alliance City after the Sentinel Tower is built. These will likely be used as either Hospitals or Barracks similar to our own Strongholds.
Level 5 – Tells you if a Hero is in the March and the Hero’s level. Tells you what was researched in Combat and provides the levels researched.
Again, it will be interesting to see if it requires an Alliance City Hero which your entire Alliance has participated in developing or simply a player’s Hero who has unlocked additional March research to enable rallying Alliance Cities.
Finally, the Alliance City will likely have shielding available to protect it when combat is not desired. Building your Alliance Cities Sentinel Tower will be crucial to knowing when your City is vulnerable to attack.
Requirements
The requirements to begin building your Alliance City Sentinel Tower includes a new item called “Eye of the Sentinel”. At the moment, the Eyes are available from packs and Bazaar for 18,000 copper each. Other requirements include Deeds and each of the Alliance City refined resources. To begin construction it requires only Headquarters Level 1.
When you build the Sentinel Tower your alliance will receive additional Might and an Alliance City Platinum Gift.
Level 1 Requirements
The following are the Level 1 requirements for Sentinel Tower:
Level 2 Requirements
The Level 2 Requirements jump 600% from Level 1 to Level 2 from 500 to 3000 Eyes.

Navi
Over a year after the release of the alliance city, with all this new research/buildings/special items, and still NO actual Benefit the alliance city. There is no reason for me to defend it, because it serves no purpose. 2.5% research boost? pfft. Bazaar? pfft
600%? What drugs are MZ on?
The drug the are on is called cash. They are high as kites on it. They have so much of it from all the people buying all these upgrades that they don’t even care if the game implodes tomorrow. They have fistfulls of it that they throw up into the air while laughing. They snort it, roll around in it, absorb it via suppository, they even have a way to liquefy it and get a constant steady stream all day via IV. So please, everyone, continue to Taje advantage of thier EXCLUSIVE sales so you can ANNIHILATE your enemies and declare victory over your opponents pixelated soldiers.
So true!
Actually, I think the opposite is true… I think the MZ bean counters have seen a MASSIVE drop off of revenue and the EXCLUSIVE packs are designed to fleece as many of the remaining weak minded fools (whales) they can before the operations get scuttled. Hence their recent EPIC announcement to re-brand themselves and be called “MZ” (of all things) and try and sell some sort of a cloud/infrastructure service. (nothing new)
They’ve spent HUGE sums of money on the AGGRESSIVE sales and marketing of their BAIT & SWITCH campaign and it’s not even coming close to paying off… their front operations posting scripted press release types of interviews can’t save them and neither can their COLOSSUS AMOUNT of planted 4/5* reviews…
I am surprised this company hasn’t been tasked with defending themselves against fraud charges by this point… because what they advertise is nothing like the REAL DEAL.
They have been parasites of gaming community since the days they called themselves Admirred and failed with those crappy programs, and give all honest and good developers a bad name.
The GoW game is dying a quick death now… and Mobile Strike didn’t and won’t get off the ground. I give them until the June-August time frame where packs will reach 5+mil gold and 25k days speeds… just to fleece as much as they can before they turn off the lights and run.
It’s coming – mark my words!
Perfectly said… I cant wait for the class action!
They can’t make logical sense.
