Beta: Monster Capture!
Get ready to face down monsters on our Beta Server!
A monstrous new opportunity has arisen that can grant your Alliance colossal power and keep them at the top. Construct the new Hall of Monsters in your Alliance City and gain the ability to capture Monsters and augment your Alliance’s powers with theirs!
For Beta Server, certain Monsters are able to be captured within the Wonder Dungeon. Note that this functionality may change in the future. When facing an eligible Monster, the “Capture Monster” Ability will be displayed – select this to use a Monster Cage and attempt to acquire the Monster in place of your normal attack for that round.
Monsters come in varying levels, from Basic to Legendary – the higher the level, the more difficult they will be to catch! However, the Combat Boosts they provide your Alliance will be much stronger at higher levels. You are only able to obtain one Monster per dungeon run, so make sure you have enough Monster Cages to walk away with the best creature you can.
If you catch more than one, you will have to choose which you wish to keep in your Dungeon Inventory. Exploring deeper within the Dungeon will grant you better chances of capturing a Legendary Monster.
Be sure to complete your Dungeon Masteries to ensure you dominate within!
Once you’ve successfully exited the dungeon with your Monster, it will be stored in your Alliance City’s Hall of Monsters if you have an available slot. Every player in the Alliance will have one to three slots in which to store Monsters – if your slots are full, you will have to choose which Monster to release.
Gain more slots by upgrading your Hall of Monsters to Level 5.
In return for capturing these ferocious creatures, you will gain MASSIVE boosts to your Alliance City Rallies – this will greatly benefit you in the forthcoming Alliance City Combat! Use Crowns and the new Beastmaster Tome to construct and upgrade your Hall of Monsters today! You don’t want to be caught unprepared.
Additional Thoughts on Monster Capture
Game of War continues to move toward Alliance participation content with the introduction of Monster Capture. The Monsters captured will be stored in a new building in the Alliance City, the Hall of Monsters, and provide “massive boosts” to your Alliance City rallies. This is a unique feature of Game of War. Apparently now Alliance members can support their alliance with more than just troops in Combat situations. Alliance Monster boosts will promote new excitement in game. Alliances could literally “Release the Kraken!” on their foes.
The Hall of Monsters is an additional variable to dominating Alliance City combat. A slot for each member of your Alliance will be available in the City promoting full Alliance participation.
Boosts Provided By Monster Capturing
It is unclear how boosts will be applied. However, keeping with our theory that the Alliance City will likely have its own troops trained from Barracks within the Alliance City, we can assume the captured Monsters will provide a boosts to those troops or your Alliance City Hero, if in fact the Alliance City will have its own Alliance Hero of sorts.
When facing an Alliance City, rumors could mount:
“I hear they have a Kraken…it provides 100% Troop Attack Debuff.”
“Ya, they also have the Legendary Diamond Dragon that adds 600% Health and Defense. What are we using? We need to use the Monsters that counter theirs.”
Also, what is unclear is whether each Monster captured will provide a boost so that every Alliance member who captures a Monster is providing some benefit to the overall strength of the Alliance City. This would be super cool and allow all Alliance members a feeling of helping their Alliance Cities strength. Furthermore, it will promote more importance of the Dungeon which is where the monsters are captured. Perhaps if a number of monsters captured is reached it provides X amount of boosts. So, if 10 Monsters are captured in the Hall of Monsters then the Hall provides 10% Boosts, if 50 Monsters are held then 50%, 75 Monsters, 75% and 100% provides 100% to your Hall of Monsters.
It would also be interesting if capturing and executing monsters, like we do with heros, would give added benefits as well.
Finally, I wonder if Alliances will also be able to choose which Monsters to activate for additional boosts depending on the troop type they are attacking or defending against or other variables.
Conclusion
The Hall of Monsters continues the direction of Alliance member participation. It also adds a unique feature to Game of War by allowing each Alliance member to play a role in their team’s success in Alliance City combat by capturing Dungeon Monsters.
What are your thoughts?
Will this feature make it to live Game of War and is it something we want added in Game of War for Alliance City combat?

This will be very interesting but wonder much it will cost to upgrade.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Let me just start by saying I’m always the cynic …. My biggest question is what happens to your monster if you drop tags? If released then no more help alliances , no more dropping to fill rallies .
The problem with most alliance features is that we don’t stay in our alliance. We drop for farms, for trades, for gifts and for helps.
Lol. Doesn’t take much thought to steal the idea from Sky Wars.
They didn’t think of this. They are stealing everything from Empire Z
