Gear in Demigod comes in circles. It takes months to get a complete set, and then months after that to max the gear to its fullest potential. If you are not careful with your selection, you could end up wasting leveling materials on the wrong gear piece. So, let’s make sure that doesn’t happen!
No two accounts are the same. Therefore, this article will be teaching everyone How to Pick Gear That’s Right for You. Only you know what your account’s strengths and weaknesses are, so what’s best for you may not be best for someone else.Gear is one feature that gives you a ton of options, and sometimes those options can seem very overwhelming to even the most seasoned players. What stats should you look for? When would debuff gear be better than attack gear? What was the name of the attack gear? These are some of the Demi Gear Basics we will go over in this article.
Demi Gear Basics
In this article, we start with a basic understanding of gear. We go over which stats you need to look for in your combat gear, and why. Also, remember that there are two versions of each gear set; Regular and Elite. You want to make sure you are using the Elite gear if you have it, If not, then the regular will suffice.
After you complete the gear set you want to make sure that you continue to enhance your gear in the Gear Workshop, as you will add more stats. You can Improve Quality and Enhance each gear piece
Improve Quality
Improving the quality of your gear is exactly what it sounds like. You are simply upgrading your gear’s Defense, Attack, and Health. Each piece of gear will upgrade the same three stats at each quality improvement level. Obviously, the biggest stat gains are going to come in the last 5 – 10 levels. The Quality improvement is noted by the stars in each gear piece
Enhancements.
When you enhance your gear, you are upgrading the specific stat that is unique to the gear set. Likewise, this is represented by the number displayed in each gear piece, halfway down on the left. For example, If your gear is defense gear, then your enhancement will be for defense. If your gear is rally gear, then your enhancement is rally attack, and so on and so forth.
Defending
First, let’s take a look at some of the different defense-related stats in the gear and learn what they mean
- Defense is how well your troops can defend against an attack.
- Health is how long your troops can last while defending.
- Attack Debuff decreases Attack of the city that is hitting you.
- Type Defense/Type Health these apply to the specific type of troop: Firelord, Waterlord, Thunderlord
- Empire Defending Attack/Defense only applies when you are defending.
There will always be specialty trap setups, and each of them has their own ways to build stats. The most important thing to remember is that stats that affect your troops are going to be better than stats that affect the attacker’s troops. In other words, boosting defense will almost always be better than boosting attack debuff, since the attack debuff only changes the attacker’s strength. So, when picking gear for Defending, you want to make sure that you are choosing gear with the highest Defense and Health.
Defense Gear:
- Bulwark Demolisher Gear
- Devastator Defender Gear
- Shiverspite Dominator
- Shadowstep Noble Gear
Attacking
If you are picking Attack Gear, the obvious choice is to always choose the highest attack percentage available in the gear piece. Just like when you are defending, there are a few different ways to set your gear up.
- Attack Bonus is the strength of your troops when you hit another city.
- Assault Attack/Defense/Health (Dragon Realm) only applies while you are attacking.
- Defense Debuff or Armor Piercing reduces the strength of the defending player’s troops.
- Rally Attack/Health is an attack that is added when you are the Leader of a Rally.
- Type Attack is an attack that is added specifically to each individual type of troop: Firelord, Waterlord, Thunderlord
If you are a Rally Lead, then you would want to prioritize Attack and Rally Attack. Solo attacks would not benefit from Rally Attack at all, but Type Attack could be useful, especially when sending missiles. Then once you have maxed the amount of Attack, you could focus on Debuffs.
Solo Attack Gear:
- Decimator Demolisher Gear
- Wrecker Devastator Gear
- Drakes Dominstor Gear
- Dawns Noble Gear
Rally Attack Gear:
- Ruiner Demolisher Gear
- Ravager Devastator Gear
- Orchid Defier’s Dominator Gear
- Duskbringer’s Noble GEar
The following two Demi gear sets are also useful for rallying, solo, or as a filler. The March Size gear is pretty self-explanatory, it increases the number of troops, traps, and mythics that you can send in a march. The debuff gear is not used quite as much as other attack sets. However, it is really effective when you find an account that isn’t current. If you can debuff a good portion of their stats, if not debuff completely, then you can really make the city explode when you hit it. Likewise, some debuff pieces can also come in handy at Wonder battles. Debuff gear is really fun to play around with. I suggest taking some of the pieces and looking at the stats that apply. Then, see if there is another piece in your current gear that you could swap out for debuff gear that would give you just a bit more of an edge. It may actually surprise you what will happen with a little bit extra debuff in your gear!
March Size Increase Gear:
- Looter Demolisher Guide
- Raider Devastator Gear
- Stitched Dominator Gear
- Barbed Noble Gear
Debuff Gear:
- Elite Demolisher Gear
- Elite Devastator Gear
- Crimsonshade Dominator Gear
- Bramble Noble Gear
Wonder Battles
Wonder can be pretty intricate. Sometimes Attack Gear pieces can outperform Wonder gear pieces, and it also depends on what the player you are competing with is wearing. So, we will just go over some of the stats found in Wonder gear and what they are for.
-
- Wonder Holding Attack/Health only applies when you have taken the Wonder and are defending against incoming attacks.
- Wonder Rally Attack will only apply if you are the player that is attacking the Wonder.
- Attack/Health Debuff Debuffs reduce the amount of attack or health that the opponent has in their rallies
Since there are so many different setups, the best way to figure out what works best is to constantly test.
Wonder Holding Gear;
- Calamity Demolisher
- Havoc Devastator Gear
- Ascenders Dominator Gear
- Jetflame’s Noble Gear

I played GoW for years all the way back when stay alive was still playing , but I recently started playing again after a year or so of not playing . My question is I have all kinds of items in my account that say pick your choice of Demi gear one for a helmet , armor , weapon , feet , and so on , but when I click on the item I want it acts like it gave it to me , but I can not find it anywhere in my inventory , what am I doing wrong ? Why can’t I find it ? Your help would be greatly appreciated . Thank you , Tiger King 1 .
Usually with the Pick your own Chests you then have to go back in and use the item after you open it. Check in your “chests” section or use the find feature to find it and hit use.
