Economic functions take a big part of our time in Game of War. We cannot just unshield and go out to be hit without preparation. Preparation takes time and costs money, however, there are various ways that you are able to boost your city and reduce costs. By doing this you can stretch your resources even further. We started this series with our first guide Jazz up your Dragon Dimension Economics Part 1. In this guide, we explored construction and research. Make sure you take the chance to go back and read this guide!
A Quick Recap
I know that not all of you will take the time to go back and read so I am going to give you a quick recap. When we are talking about Economy what do we mean by that? For simplicity, we are going to include any function that does not include PvP combat. This means that yes, we will even be talking about monster hunting in this guide. Here are the functions that we will address:
- Monster Hunting
So how do you save time, money, and get more from your city when you are working on building up your city? In Part 1, we covered various places you can get boosts for construction and research including:
- Athena’s Armory
- Boost Hall
- Hero Skills
- Dragon Skills
We also briefly addressed Lifetime boosts in order to discuss the fact that since purchasing these boosts is often time-limited we were not going to discuss these in-depth. This week we are going to move onto Training and even take a closer look at Healing. If you want more details from part one then go back and read part one!
Jazz up your Training
We looked closer at Training in the article, Training Troops Efficiently in the Dragon Dimension, however, in this article the discussion was broader. Here we are going to dive into the nitty-gritty so you really know where to find those training boosts and what different troops boosts do.
Types of Training Stats
When we look at training stats we are really going to see three types of stats:
- Time Reductions- This will reduce the amount of time it takes to train your troops
- Resource Reductions- This will reduce the number of resources you need to train your troops.
- Training Queue Increases- This will increase how many troops you are able to train at one time.
We are going to cover each of these types of boosts and where you can find each of them as you prepare to train your army.
Gear is one of the more obvious places to find boosts so this is the first place we will start. When we are looking at Gear for Training we have two options:
- Grand Marshal Set- This is the newest Gear Set and it helps with Training Speed and Troop Queue.
- Dragon War General’s Set- This is the second option for training gear which also helps with Training Speed and Troop Queue. This is the Gear you will be wanting to use if you do not yet have Grand Marshal.
While these are the only two gear sets for training there is also an accessory worth mentioning the Superior Training Pouch, This Pouch has better stats than the ones you will find on your Grand Marshal Accessories and should be swapped in as you are able to craft them. See the image below for stats provided.
Gems are next up and an easy choice. For Training, we have gems to help with Training Speed. Our options are limited here however if you toss in a Prophecy gem you can use two of your Training Speed Gems.
Athena’s Armory has a lot of hidden stats when it comes to Training. There are a ton of sets that have set bonuses that help with Training. Below we will list the sets and what stat they have to assist as you train.
|Arbiter’s Gear Set||+10% Training Speed|
|Dragon War Samurai Gear Set||+15% Training Speed|
|Dragon War Haunted Samurai Gear Set||+15% Training Speed|
|Dragon War General’s Set||+21% Training Speed
+5,000 Troop Queue
|Grand Marshal Set||+21% Training Speed
+10,000 Troop Queue
When we look at Buildings we are going to look at our Barracks. The more barracks you have the more troops you can train at a time. As your barracks increase in level it increases your Troop Queue. In addition, leveling up your barracks will also give you boosts to help with Training Speed.
Hero Skills are another place to find Training Boosts. Hero One is the only hero where you can find these boosts. Hero One has a Training skill that helps with speed when you are training so to save on time make sure you are using Hero One to train.
All of your Dragon Skills for Training are going to be found in your first Dragon. We find a couple of different stats here:
- Mythical Creature and Troop Training Speed
- Mythical Creature and Troop Training Queue
- Troop Training Cost Reduction (Reduces the amount of RSS needed)
This is one of the few places you can find an RSS reduction for training which makes it a place you definitely want to be sure you have skilled before training.
Research is a good place to get stats no matter what you are doing. You can get Stats for Training from multiple research trees. Many research trees have troop queue stats, however, when looking for these stats be sure to check these places:
- Economics Tree
- Combat Trees
- Hint: your Combat tree has a T3 RSS Reduction for those training T5.
- Rewards Trees
VIP has Troop Queue Boosts and the higher your VIP the higher the boost.
There is one banner to watch out for when it comes to training your Troops. The Lunar New Year Special: Training Banner, this banner is going to help with Training Queue and Speed stats for both troops and Mythical Creatures.
A Word about Healing
Let’s talk healing. A lot of us traps depend on our hospital beds to help us with saving some troops when we get hit. In addition, if you are a points trap then Hospital beds are essential in order to decrease the number of points your opponents are getting.
There are different places you can increase the number of beds you have available including Hospitals, Research, Hero three skills and more. We have some quick Realtips when it comes to Healing to make sure that you are also healing efficiently.
Realtip One: Do Not Forget your Research
There are Researches to help with your Hospital in a few places however, when we are looking to get out there it is easy to forget about our economics stats. We are looking for quick stats so we can engage in PvP and do not think about how over time we will save by focusing a bit on economic stats as well. We can find stats such as Hospital Healing Speed in our Hero Tree and other Hospital Stats scattered throughout other research trees.
Realtip Two: Do Not Forget your Gear and Skills
Your Gear and Skills have Training Speed Boosts that will also apply when you go to Heal. If you are able to safely flip to training gear for a quick heal you will save yourself on speeds that you can then use for something else. Unfortunately, the RSS Reduction from your Dragon does not apply here.
Realtip Three: Hero Three is your friend when it comes to beds
If you are concerned about your hospital capacity to make sure you are equipping your Hero Three with the Hospital Capacity skill fully maxed in order to take those hits.
**Realtip of the Day: Even though the Queue All button in your hospital is grey it still works. IF it is not queuing all then it is likely because you are short on RSS to heal. (This one is for you BadSanta)
Often we are asked, how do I know what my troop capacity is? Here is my answer- There is no way to know what your Troop Capacity is except for when you hit it. There are boosts so that you can increase your Troop Capacity but as for knowing what it is, we are as lost as you. If you do in fact hit your mysterious number then be sure to check the different places that offer Troop Capacity increases to further expand your Troop Cap.
