The Four Horsemen are still Better than Frostbite in some Cases
With the recent shift toward heavy hitting cavalry core sets, customs core sets, and the new Zeus set, it seems we all are rallying one type (Infantry) almost exclusively and setting up our defenses to counter this trend as well. Everyone has cavalry cores gemmed up for war and traps have loaded themselves with infantry meat to counter.
Dragon Bone ranged cores are great, but lack the defense debuff to give me the same confidence that Frostbite cores give when attacking. Additionally, custom infantry cores just dont pack the punch needed to pop a big acct.
While its no secret or revelation, the 4 Horseman cores have made an astounding return to the scene in terms of hitting a Stronghold again. Game of War has shifted from straight attack to a balancing act between debuffing survival stats like health and defense and running the biggest attack possible.
With a set bonus geared towards troop type attack instead of troop attack, you can reach a bonus (full set) well into the 900% infantry area rather easily vs trying to get a 700%troop attack bonus. This allows you to fill in the void outside of cavalry missiles with high defense debuff- especially in that weak infantry rally department.
In Kua, Dabbleton runs his 4H as infantry only while I elect to go ranged. Doing this gives us a 3 headed attack again when hitting a player sitting in war gear. One warning tho… it does not debuff wild in the set bonus, so strategic rallies are best.
Save up those cooked turkey pieces and the ornate hilts for when Game of War lets loose the much anticipated mega infantry set (Zeus ) and use a 4h set for infantry in meantime. It works great and will clear that 3k attack/1200 defense debuff.
This is a hit using 4h as a missile. If the target had more troops it would have been a gigantic hit. I one hit zeroed with essentially no loss.
Works great! Hope this helped.
